I have many memories of Orrie as we worked together at Envirotech. One interesting view of his honesty was a dinner in SLC at a downtown pub. There were six of us enjoying drinks and conversation at a bar that included a live band. During one of the band breaks, one of the others in the group challenged Orrie to an old fashion football scrimmage to see who could better block the other. My role was to snap the ball. Once the ball was snapped, Orrie and the other fellow went at each other to prove to the group who was tougher. Orrie drove the guy up and onto the band stand (about three feet off of the floor). In doing so, the guy fell into the guitar sitting upright in its stand. Both came back to the table, sweating and chuckling at the "match". Soon Orrie realized that the guitar had been broken in the scrimmage. As soon as the band returned to the stage, he approached the band leader and offered to pay for the guitar. From that day forward, I knew what a solid character Orrie Albertson was. He never changed! George Quiter April 30, 2011
